More than 90 representatives of higher education institutions of Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Moldova, Latvia, Austria, Morocco and other countries attended the International Staff Week.

The internship program included familiarization with the specifics of work and education at the University of Cadiz (Spain), familiarization with the current state of the process of internationalization of higher education in Europe, discussion of prospects for cooperation within the Erasmus + program, presentation of the country and university of each participant in the internship program, familiarization with cultural peculiarities and traditions Spain and more.

On June 23, 2017, on the initiative of the Institute of Higher Education of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the International Round Table "Governance, Leadership and Management in Higher School" was organized at the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, organized within the framework of the ELITE Program "Education for Leadership, Intellectual and Talent Development" in partnership With the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the National Erasmus + office in Ukraine, the British Council in Ukraine and the National Team of Experts on Higher Education Reform.
During the meeting, international experts from the UK - Professor Ian McNay, University of Greenwich, and Ranmore Consulting Ltd., Advisor, Dr. Tom Kennie, made a speech.
The event was attended by First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Volodymyr Kovtunets; Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Yuriy Rashkevich; Director of the Department of Higher Education of Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oleg Sharov; Rector of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University Victor Ogneviuk; Director of the Institute of Higher Education of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Svitlana Kalashnikova, as well as heads of higher educational institutions of Ukraine.
All presenters had an opportunity to ask questions to international experts and discussed topical issues of governance, leadership and management in the universities of Ukraine and the United Kingdom.

The Second Forum of Rectors of Ukrainian and Chinese Universities

On June 23, 2017, the Second Forum of Rectors of Ukrainian and Chinese Universities took place on the basis of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The forum was attended by 37 representatives of the universities of the People's Republic of China and 26 rectors of higher education in Ukraine, including the rector of the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, doctor of philosophy, professor and academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Victor Ogneviuk.
Simultaneously with the Forum, the second meeting of the Ukrainian-Chinese Sub-Commission on Cooperation in Education with the Commission on Cooperation between Ukraine and the People's Republic of China was held, co-chairmen - Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Lilia Grynevych and Minister of Education of the People's Republic of China Chen Baoshen.
The forum was devoted to the actual issues of development of bilateral relations in the field of education between the two countries and summing up the results since the first Forum in 2012. The reports of the rectors of both countries have shown that for five years the Ukrainian-Chinese relations have strengthened, especially in the field of education and science. In particular, the academic mobility of students and teachers increased, scientific cooperation between the universities of the PRC and Ukraine strengthened; the sphere of teaching Ukrainian and Chinese languages in the partner countries has developed.
The second part of the Forum was devoted to the official signing of cooperation agreements between higher educational institutions of Ukraine and the People's Republic of China. Rector of the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University Victor Ogneviuk and the rector of the Zhejiang Pedagogical University Iang Guojun signed an agreement that renewed cooperation between the two universities in academic mobility, the study of Ukrainian and Chinese languages, and the implementation of joint research. After that, the official delegation of the Zhejiang Pedagogical University, headed by the rector, visited the Grinchenko University.

Reception of official delegation from the city of Kyoto (Japan) headed by Mayor Daisaku Kadokawa

June 3, 2017 in Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University hosted a reception of official delegation from the city of Kyoto (Japan) headed by Mayor Daisaku Kadokawa. The event was held within the Year of Japan in Ukraine and the Days of Kyoto in Kiev.
Among the members of the official delegation from Japan consisting of 37 persons were present: Mayor of Kyoto - Daisaku Kadokawa; Chairman of Kyoto City Assembly - Kazuhiro Terada; Head of the International Department of Kyoto City Assembly - Keiji Maki and others. To the event joined by representatives of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine, in particular, Minister Counselor of Embassy of Japan in Ukraine - Michio Harada; Secretary of Culture of Embassy of Japan in Ukraine - Hoshino Yuichi.
The reception began with the landing of Sakura - symbol of Japan and Japanese culture – be Mayor Daisaku Kadokawa and rector of Grinchenko University Victor Ogneviuk in the courtyard of educational building №1 (st. Marshal Timoshenko, 13B).
After that a solemn meeting of the Academic Council began where the mayor spoke Kyoto "Kyoto - a city of world culture: the power of culture for peace in the world." During his speech Daisaku Kadokawa detailed about long-term relationship between Ukraine and Japan, especially emphasizing the friendly relations between Kyiv and Kyoto.
At the end of the event Rector Viktor Ogneviuk presented Kyoto Mayor a gift from students and teachers - artistic picture.
This event once again proved that Kyiv and Kyoto combines a lot to do and there are many prospects for further cooperation.

IRNet participants at Ostrava University

In the period from April 29 - May 30, 2017 scientists of Grinchenk University participated in the international study group project IRNet (International Research Network for study and development of new tools and methods for advanced pedagogical science in the field of ICT instruments, e-learning and intercultural competences) 7th framework program of the European Commission for Science and education were in Ostrava University, Ostrava (http://www.osu.cz), Czech Republic.
A team of researchers including: Natalia Morse, Doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor, corresponding member of NAPS of Ukraine, Vice-rector of informatization of educational-scientific and administrative activity; Rusudan Mahachashvili, Doctor of philological sciences, Associate Professor, Head of Chair of Romance Philology and comparative typological linguistics, Iryna Vorotnykova, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Chair of natural methodologies and mathematics education and technology of Institute of Postgraduate education; Tetiana Lyakh, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Chair if social education and social Work and Deputy Director of the Institute of Human Sciences.
During the meeting with the the International Department of the University was changed format of the bilateral agreement on scientific and academic cooperation between the University of Ostrava and Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University.
Directions of partnership involving cooperation in following formats:
• Launch international program of master specialization "eLearning Manager" (with the assistance of the University of Silesia, Poland)
• involvement of students and academic staff of Grinchenko University in the program of academic mobility Erasmus + (areas: social and human sciences, information and communication technologies in education, social work, social pedagogy, European studies, intercultural communication).

May 22, 2017 at Warsaw University hosted a ceremony of awarding the Ivan Vyhovskyi prize that takes place under the patronage of Polish President and has the task of celebration of the achievements of the citizens of Ukraine in the development of science and culture, the development of civil society, defending democratic values and European vector of Ukraine.
Awards’ winner Ivan Vyhovskyi in 2017 became Professor Igor Sribniak, Head of Chair of World History of History and Philosophy Faculty of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University. His scientific training will last one year, in which the winner must visit 6 Polish universities, reads lectures and present the results of his scientific research to Polish teachers and students.

Bilateral Academic Mobility with University of Foggia (Italy) within the Erasmus +

Alessandro Tasso as a participant of Academic Mobility Erasmus + arrived to our University for academic exchange with the University of Foggia (Italy).
Alessandro studied at the Institute of Philology and he chose to study the following subjects: "Pedagogy", "Philosophy and Religion", "English Practice", "ICT in teaching" and "Classical Philology". Alessandro took part in various events organised by the Romance languages department, he gave workshops on Italian Culture and presented his region to the students of Italian language.
We are happy to provide Erasmus + opportunities for academic mobility for students and teachers and we look forward to further cooperation with European partners.

    On the 14th – 17th 2011 in Malmo, Sweden, the General Assembly of European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) approved the application form of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University as an Associate Member of EAEA.


    European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) is the European non-profit organization and a European NGO with 116 member organizations in 43 countries. EAEA influences EU policies on non-formal adult education and lifelong learning; represents adult education civil society in official working groups and conferences.
