The official opening of the exhibition "Japan and the UN - 60 years Japan's membership in the United Nations"

November 8th 2016, at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University was officially opened the photo exhibition "Japan and the UN - 60 years of Japan's membership in the United Nations". The event was supported by the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine.

At the official opening were the representatives of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine: Mr. Harada Michio, Deputy Chief of Mission of Japan to Ukraine, Adviser to the Minister of the Embassy of Japan; Mr. Tandzhi Hideyuki, Head of Education and the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine, First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan; Mr. Kyrylo Yaroshyk, the press secretary of the Embassy of Japan.

Viktor Ogneviuk, Rector of our University greeted guests and students. He underlined the importance of the opening of the exhibition "Japan and the UN - 60 years of Japan's membership in the United Nations" in our University, and also pointed out, that Japan is a unique country in which coexist harmoniously traditions of the past and technologies of the future.

After greetings, in the hall of the Academic Council of the University was held a lecture of Mr. Michio Harada on "Ukrainian-Japanese relations".               Mr. Michio Harada told about his life experience, about Japan's role in the world community and the possibility of cooperation between the two countries. Students of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University actively participated in the discussion.

Important to note, that during the official visit of President of Ukraine to Japan was declared that 2017 would be the year of Japan in Ukraine. We hope that this will contribute to further cooperation in the educational, economic, cultural and other spheres between our countries.
