Within the framework of the Erasmus + program with the University of Tampere (Finland) Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University hosted a two-day workshop on academic writing for scholars, postgraduates, graduate students, editors and senior secretaries of the periodical scientific publications of our University.

The seminar was held by Kate Moore, professor, teacher of English language studies and translation of the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the University of Tampere; author of the articles on speech communication and oral history; co-author of language textbooks, English-Finnish dictionary; Fulbright scholarship holder in the field of television research; Anna Parivanen - doctoral student; teacher of grammar, linguistics and variations in the English Language School at the University of Tampere, an interpreter; investigates the origin of syntactic innovations in the countries of Southern and Southeast Asia; her scientific interests are related to case linguistics, contact linguistics, Asian-English language, syntax.
The participants of the seminar received a unique opportunity to take a course on academic writing in English, to communicate with specialists in the field of linguistics and speech communication and to improve their writing skills in English.
