A Center of Turkish Culture and Language was open in the University on 25^th February, 2011. An Ambassador of Turkey in Ukraine Ahmet Bulent Merich participated in the opening ceremony.

During a work meeting of the Ambassador with the University rector prof. Victor Ognevyuk issues of international cooperation were discussed, including student and faculty exchange programs and involving native speakers into teaching Turkish in Ukraine. The Ambassador has initiated the opening of a Ukrainian language department in one of Turkish universities and invited the faculty of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University to become involved into the realization of this idea that will facilitate the strengthening of cultural ties between Ukraine and Turkey.
