Häme University of Applied Sciences (Finland)
On October 9, the international project Developing Career Guidance Counselling for Ukraine, supported by the TFK Ukraine Program 2023 in cooperation with Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK), was launched.
Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University delegation arrived in Finland to develop an educational and professional program for a career counsellor in Ukraine for applicants for the second (master's) level of higher education.
During the first day of the project's work program, Martti Majuri, Director of the Edu Research Unit of the University of Applied Sciences, Seja Mahlamaki-Kultanen, Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Development, and Carita Cruz, Senior Career Counselling Program Advisor, introduced the structure of HAMK, its curricula and international project activities to the colleagues from Grinchenko University.
Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University was represented to a wide audience of Finnish academics by Nataliia Vinnikova, Head of Academic Council of the University, who introduced the main activities of our university; Liliia Hrynevych, First Vice-Rector, who highlighted the educational losses of Ukraine due to the war and thanked the Finnish people for their support of our country; Volodymyr Ogryzko, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, who spoke about the historical background of the war and presented the publication "Ban ruscism". The speeches gave rise to heated discussions.
The training visit as part of the international project will last until October 14. During this week, Finnish colleagues will conduct trainings and master classes on the development of an educational and professional career counsellor program in Ukraine. This program will be implemented at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University jointly by the Faculty of Pedagogical Education headed by Dean Olha Kotenko and the Faculty of Psychology, Social Work and Special Education headed by Dean Nataliia Klishevych.
