On October 1-2, 2013 academics, PhD Candidates and students of masters programs of the Humanitarian Institute had an opportunity to attend guest lectures of the famous European literary critic Boguslaw Bakula, Professor of the University of Poznan and Dr hab. Agnieszka Matusiak, Professor, Head of the Chair of Ukrainian Studies of the University of Wrocław.

Prof. Boguslaw Bakula presented the issues of postcolonial studies, "pros and cons of the new methodology" and made the critical review of the modern European literature.

Prof. Agnieszka Matusiak introduced to the audience the theme "Between the Memory and Oblivion and Post Communistic, Social and Culture Injury in the Center of the East, South-East Europe".

Both topics provoked lively discussion among the participants.
