On October 4, 2013 academics of our University had an opportunity to become the participants of the open workshop held by William Dobrenen, Director of General Education of Warner Pacific College (USA) "Student-Centered Teaching".

Professor Dobrenen discussed new paradigms of teaching in higher educational institutions. He pointed out that any teacher had to understand his students and not to be afraid of using the new approaches in the educational process. He has also mentioned that a new generation teacher has to pay more attention to studying himself and to developing communication with students for better understanding and satisfying their needs.

During the workshop our University academics were proposed to try just a few methods of reflection in groups which they can use in teaching afterwards.

Professor William Dobrenen visited our University in the framework of the implementation the project "International Servant Leadership Program".
