On May 28, 2014 Nataliia Morze, Vice-rector on IT, initiated the World Microsoft Day at our University. Since its inception in 2009, World MS Day has grown from strength to strength, reaching hundreds of thousands of people in more than 67 countries worldwide and continuing to grow every year.

World MS Day (WMSD) has been established by the Multiple Sclerosis International Federation (MSIF) and its member MS societies for any individual, group or organization to work together to raise awareness of MS.

World MS Day is the only global awareness raising campaign for MS. Every year, the MS movement comes together to provide the public with information about MS and to raise awareness on how it affects the lives of more than two million people around the world (information is taken from http://worldmsday.msif.org).

Nowadays, IT of the new generation is one of the priorities for the development of the higher educational institution. Representatives from the Microsoft Company paid attention to the opportunities in the field of employment and variety of activities, conferences and competitions for young IT specialist.

Imagine Cup – it is a global student technology competition for all who are interested in the development of innovations in IT. Imagine Cup gives opportunity to get money and grants on researches for young and creative students (further information on https://www.imaginecup.com ).

Students and participants had an opportunity to take part in the discussions connected with the following issues:
- An Exciting World of IT: Work While Playing.

One of the most excited moments of the event was testing of a new tablet Surface. The successors, Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 were released on October 22, 2013. The Surface Pro has been discontinued; however the Surface RT continues to be sold, albeit at a reduced price as a lower-cost alternative to the Surface 2.

The newest addition, Surface Pro 3, was unveiled on May 20, 2014, and is scheduled to be released on June 20, 2014.
