In Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, supported by Rector Viktor Ogneviuk, was elected the direction of STEM-education, one of which is robotics. To implement this course in the University purchased base and resource sets of LEGO MINDSTORMS Education EV3, Lego WeDo and Pneumatics. Use of training engineers and involvement of students in research in the field of robotics, exchange of technical information and initial engineering knowledge, the development of new scientific and technical ideas will create the necessary conditions for high quality education through the use of educational process of new pedagogical approaches and the use of new information and communication technologies. Understanding the phenomenon of technology, knowledge of the laws of technology, will allow graduates to meet the demands of time and find their place in modern life.

To implement this direction on 10 and 12 February 2016 a representative of PROLEHO Anatoly Vasylyuk conducted training on robotics. The training program provides introduction to the history of robotics, training designers, the skills of design and use of the environment for programming robots. The event was attended by representatives of the Pedagogical Institute, the Institute of Society, University College, Institute of postgraduate education, RL informatization of education and students.

During the sessions, due to the high skills and ability of coach Anatoly and his ability to interest, participants learned how to construct robots use embedded programming environment to program the robot to perform various tasks.

A company Lego is not only described the components of Lego kits and instructions on their use, but also presented the method of teaching school robotics tasks presented for projects that are close to life and can solve real problems, focusing on features of studying robotics. Training provided work in pairs, held in an atmosphere of engagement and mutual assistance.

Obtained skills require practice on practical implementation through the creation of teaching materials and experience transfer students. Rector of the University Viktor Ogneviuk signed a letter of gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of STEM education, implementation of innovative projects in preparation of future teachers and retraining of teachers.
