ALLIANCE OF EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES NEOLAiA
In 2024, Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University joined the European University Alliance NEOLAiA (https://neolaiacampus.eu/), which unites nine Western European universities collaborating at the international level:
- Bielefeld University (Federal Republic of Germany);
- Örebro University (Kingdom of Sweden);
- Šiauliai University (Republic of Lithuania);
- University of Jaén (Kingdom of Spain);
- Private University in Engomi (Republic of Cyprus);
- University of Ostrava (Czech Republic);
- University of Tours (French Republic);
- University of Suceava (Romania);
- University of Salerno (Italian Republic).
The cooperation within the alliance will cover all areas related to teaching and learning, scientific research and cultural activities. In particular, it includes implementation of a mobility program for researchers, academic staff and students, development of educational programs, publication of joint academic works, implementation of research projects, organization of joint events, etc.
The priority focus for Grinchenko University within the NEOLAiA alliance is «Diversity and Inclusion and their Impact on European Regions».
This project offers the University the opportunity to:
- raise its attractiveness and competitiveness on the global stage by deepening transnational cooperation and ensuring enhanced mobility for students and faculty;
- create conditions for knowledge exchange, the development of new concepts, technologies and innovations;
- promote respect for academic freedom and institutional autonomy;
- strengthen European identity among students, faculty, researchers, and staff by fostering collaboration and co-creation of knowledge within various European and global cultures, across different languages, sectors, industries, and academic disciplines, while upholding gender equality, inclusivity, diversity and equity.
The University’s integration into the Alliance strengthens its international reputation, shaping its positive image as a modern higher education institution on the European and global stage.
