In the period from 29 May to 5 June, 2023, the next stage of the international project within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA 107 programme was implemented at European Humanities University (Lithuania) in accordance with the inter-university agreement on academic mobility for academic staff (Staff Mobility for Teaching Agreement). On behalf of Grinchenko University, Marharyta Netreba, PhD in Social Communications, Associate Professor of the Department of Advertising and Public Relations at the Faculty of Journalism, provided implementation of this part of the project.
The main goal of the mobility was to improve teaching skills and get acquainted with the methods of teaching major disciplines at the Lithuanian university. In accordance with the Erasmus+ programme, the associate professor gave a series of lectures in English to bachelors of the educational programme “Visual Design” on visual communication techniques, presentation design with properly placed accents and creative solutions, as well as on visuals in the modern media content of Ukraine as an information weapon in times of war.
Marharyta Netreba was present as a guest expert at the defence of diploma theses of master's students of the educational programme “Media and Communications” and bachelors of the educational programme “Visual Design”. The defences were held in a mixed format on the ZOOM platform with the obligatory participation of supervisors and reviewers. The associate professor was impressed by the high ideology and quality of the works, maturity and skill in execution, the ability to present and promote scientific and creative works.
On top of that, Marharyta Netreba visited the media hub, the library and the main campus of the university, got acquainted with the current situation on the educational market and the educational systems of Lithuania, discussed the topics of future scientific publications and events that are of interest to Ukrainian and Lithuanian colleagues.
Preliminary agreements were also reached on the prospects for future cooperation between Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University and European Humanities University in the Erasmus Mundus programme and the Erasmus+ Alliance for Innovation project as an associate partner.
