From 14 to 17 June, 2023, Hanna Chesnokova, PhD in Philology, Professor of the Department of Linguistics and Translation at the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology took part in an official meeting within the framework of the international research project "Gender-ing English Language Teaching (ELT): International Perspectives, Practices, Policies" aimed at making a practical contribution to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 5 on gender equality, in which Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University has been participating since April 2021.
As part of the event, Prof. Chesnokova presented Grinchenko University to colleagues from the project's member countries and the collective monograph "Gender equality in English language teaching practice: A resource book for teacher education", three chapters of which were written by students of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology, published by the British Council. Furthermore, a working meeting was held with Prof. Sonia Zyngier (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) to discuss organization of the course "Literary Awareness" for undergraduate and graduate students of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology and outline the vectors of future cooperation between Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University and Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
