On August 02, 2023, three students of the Department of Japanese Language and Translation at the Faculty of Oriental Languages, who studied for a year under the MEXT Scholarship program of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan at  Grinchenko University’s partner - Yamanashi University, successfully defended their final research projects.

On August 02, 2023, Polina Pluzhnyk, Sofiia Troshyna, and Polina Sibert, who, with the support of professors from Yamanashi University, implemented their research projects during the year, presented the results and successfully defended their research projects.

Representatives of their alma mater, Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, also had the opportunity to join the evaluation of the research achievements. Ivan Semenist, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Languages, Doctor of Science in Philology, Associate Professor; Dmytro Moskalev, Head of the Department of Oriental Culture and Literature, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor; and Kostiantyn Komisarov, Associate Professor of the Department of Japanese Language and Translation, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor joined the final evaluation of the research results via video conference.

We congratulate our students on the successful completion of their internship under the academic mobility program in Japan and wish them further success!
