On 29 November 2023, the first training was held within the framework of the project "Developing Career Guidance and Counselling Education for Ukraine CARE" in cooperation with HAMK University of Applied Sciences, Finland.

The aim of the CARE project is to develop a framework of competences and curriculum for the training of a career counsellor in Ukraine and to introduce a career and educational counsellor into the Ukrainian education system. This will contribute to the achievement of Ukraine's strategic goals as part of the New Ukrainian School reform.

The project team from the Faculty of Pedagogical Education and the Faculty of Psychology, Social Work and Special Education, under the mentorship of First Vice-Rector of the University Liliia HRYNEVYCH, had worked for two months on the competency framework, which was presented to HAMK today along with a draft of two additional educational modules.

With the support of our Finnish colleagues, we aim to improve the competence framework and develop additional educational modules based on two master's programmes: “Educational Design” and “Practical Psychology”.
