Students of the bachelor's degree programs "Regional Studies" and "Public Communications" joined the Transatlantic student discussion, initiated by professors of Georgia Southern University (USA) Dr. Jacek Lubecki and Comenius University Bratislava (Slovak Republic) Dr. Dave Reichardt.

The discussion was held in the format of several sessions and lasted almost a week from April 16 to 20, 2024. The Transatlantic Student Discussion was attended by students from the United States, Slovak Republic, and Ukraine. They were divided into mini-groups during each session, where the discussion took place. Our applicants had the opportunity to listen to the position of their foreign colleagues, express their point of view, explain the difference between Ukrainian and Russian narratives, and outline the peculiarities of living and studying in war. Future international experts had the opportunity to practice communicating in a foreign language (English) with native speakers, apply their knowledge and skills acquired during their studies in such educational components as Theory of International Relations, Theory and Practice of International Negotiations, Domestic and Foreign Policy of Western Europe and North America: Origins and Current Status, International Security, etc.

The sessions were co-moderated by Associate Professor of the Department of International Relations Maryna Bessonova, who initiated and organized preparation and participation of students of the bachelor's degree programs "Regional Studies" and "Public Communications" in this discussion. We look forward to further cooperation and new opportunities for our students to acquire professional competencies.
