April 14-20, 2024
Poznan, Poland
In the period from April 14 to 20, 2024, the second stage of the spring school "Interdisciplinary learning model" took place in Poznań on the initiative of Adam Mickiewicz University. The event was attended by 30 students of the 1st - 6th years from many educational institutions of Ukraine, representing various specialties. Among them was Aliona Stryhun, a student of the 5th year of the educational program "Primary Education".
The school aims to familiarize students with the potential of an interdisciplinary approach to education. As part of this project, two models were presented in the classroom: the model of interdisciplinary individual research and the Liberal Art and Science (LAS) learning model. The training program included a series of lectures on a new approach to reorganizing the educational process. One of these lectures was given by Dr. Kostiantyn Mazur, during which students from a different vector looked at current trends and developments in education, and had the opportunity to participate in a discussion of a number of pressing issues. With regard to the topic of study, Professor Rafal Dymczyk showed in more detail on his own experience how modern education can work ahead of the curve, what are the conditions for updating methodological principles, and also introduced students to the possibilities of using the potential of an interdisciplinary approach to learning on his own experience. Workshops were an integral part of the lectures, where students were able to present their own project ideas based on the possibilities of their specialty.
The participants of summer school visited the Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology, where they had the opportunity to meet Dr. Andrii Hladii, who is also the author of the book "Iceland. Northern Days of the North". The author talked about the peculiarities of this country and about his path to success. The students had many questions, the answers to which made them think about a new perspective for the future, namely travel for education, inspiration to create a quality product based on travel experiences and borrowing the experience of another country.
The project organizers developed the training program taking into account the opportunity for Ukrainian students to visit most of the sights of Poznan. As a token of gratitude, the students prepared a traditional Ukrainian dinner and invited honoured guests. This format once again proved the sincerity of the friendship between Ukraine and Poland.
