Participation in the International School of Digital Humanism

In September 2024, Rusudan Makhachashvili, Head of the Department of Germanic Philology, Doctor of Science in Philology, Professor, took part in the International School of Digital Humanism at the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning of Vienna University of Technology (Republic of Austria).

The School of Digital Humanism brought together leading experts from more than 30 countries - theorists and practitioners in various interdisciplinary fields of digital humanities - in Vienna. This year's focus was on artificial intelligence systems based on large language models, their practical implementation, and philosophical implications for self-understanding and sustainable development of humanity.

Rusudan Makhachashvili presented her own research findings and applied results in the field of digital humanism and artificial intelligence. Practical projects based on the functionality of artificial intelligence tools for communication of the European Commission institutions proved to be particularly effective. The Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology at Grinchenko University is involved in the implementation of digital language data processing as part of a joint project with the European Commission's Terminology Coordination and Digital Translation Unit.
