Timisoara, Romania

From August 31 to September 7, 2024, the Gernik XXI International Art Camp 2024 symposium was held in Romania. It was attended by Hanna Kriukova, Associate Professor of the Department of Fine Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design of Grinchenko University, Honored Artist of Ukraine, and Oksana Popinova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Fine Arts.

Gernik XXII International Art Camp 2024 brought together artists from Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Macedonia, Croatia, and Slovakia. It was a great occasion to discuss the problems of contemporary art and create new works of art. Artists had the opportunity to exchange ideas, share experiences, and work together on new projects. The event promoted international cooperation in the artistic environment, helping to expand cultural ties between countries. The atmosphere of the event was creative and inspiring, allowing participants to open new horizons in their artistic pursuits. In addition, a postplein-air exhibition of the participants' works is planned for November at Galeria Brateanu in Timisoara, Romania. This exhibition will be a continuation of the international artistic dialog between the artists and will show the results of their joint work. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to see the works created during the symposium and appreciate new approaches to contemporary art.
