Results of Grinchenko University's participation in the international project “UNI-Paths II: Innovations in Higher Education for Ukraine”. Access to the electronic library

Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University together with the University of Ostrava implemented the international project “UNI-Paths II: Innovations in Higher Education for Ukraine”, which lasted from March 2024 with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Czech Republic.

The project was aimed at modernizing higher education in Ukraine and integrating Ukrainian universities into the European educational space. Particular attention was paid to innovations in curricula, professional development of teachers, and development of international cooperation.
The project participants from Grinchenko University were Tetiana Liakh, PhD in Pedagogy, Professor, Head of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Social Work at the Faculty of Psychology, Social Work and Special Education (project coordinator) and PhD in Pedagogy, Associate Professors of the same department Tetiana Spirina and Svitlana Sapiga.
As part of the project, the Department of Social Pedagogy and Social Work developed a syllabus for the elective discipline “Social Work in Health Care” and updated the program of the discipline “Social Work with Persons with Disabilities” for students of the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels of higher education majoring in 231 Social Work. Together with colleagues from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ostrava, the content of the educational and professional programs “Social Work”, “Social Advocacy”, “Social Pedagogy”, “Monitoring and Evaluation of Social Programs” was reviewed for compliance with modern European standards and practices in the field of “Social Work”.
Due to participation in the project, the University has access to an electronic library of books, in particular on social work, psychosocial support, etc. on the EBSCOhost platform.
