Double diplomas program with Japan University of Economics

Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University continues to develop international cooperation with higher education institutions in Japan. In June 2025, Memorandum of Understanding, Agreement on Student Exchange and Agreement on Obtaining Double Diplomas were signed between Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University and Japan University of Economics (JUE) (Fukuoka, Japan).

In accordance with the agreements between two universities, in September 2025, the first students of the educational program “Language and Literature (Japanese)” of the Faculty of Oriental Languages at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University will start studying at Japan University of Economics within the framework of the double diplomas program.

Japan University of Economics was founded in 1968 and has three campuses: the Fukuoka campus in southern Japan, the Sannomiya campus in Kobe, and the Shibuya campus in Tokyo. Japan University of Economics specializes not only in economics and business, but also offers a wide range of courses in these fields and related ones. The educational process is carried out at five faculties: Economics, Commerce, Administrative Law, Management and Administration of Healthcare and Sports.

The internationalization of higher education is a central component of student life at the Japan University of Economics, the university has the second largest number of international students in Japan.
