On October 10, 2025, an official reception was held to mark the National Day of Spain, organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain in Ukraine.

The reception was attended by Acting Rector of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University, Honored Education Worker of Ukraine Oleksandr Turuntsev, Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs, Head of the University Academic Council, Doctor of Science in Philology, Professor Nataliia Vinnikova and Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, PhD in Art Studies, Associate Professor Ostap Kovalchuk.

The event began with the national anthems of Spain and Ukraine, followed by a minute of silence in memory of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians who lost their lives as a result of Russian aggression.

The audience was welcomed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain to Ukraine, Ricardo López-Aranda Jagu, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Ihor Zhovkva and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Yevhen Perebyinis.

We sincerely thank the Embassy of Spain and His Excellency the Ambassador for the invitation and for the long-standing fruitful cooperation between our countries, as well as Spain’s steadfast and continuous support for Ukraine!
