Three students of the educational program “Language and Literature (Japanese)” — Dmytro Kartavyi, Daria Bondarenko and Veronika Lіnnyk — are successfully completing a semester of studies under the academic mobility program at our partner institution, Toyo University (Tokyo, Japan).
Since 2022, when our universities established a partnership, more than 20 students from Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University have had the opportunity to improve their Japanese language skills and immerse themselves in Japanese culture.
Grinchenko students also share their impressions of the internship:
“Tokyo is incredible; every day you discover something new. The course is intensive, the teachers are highly qualified specialists, and communicating with other foreign students and native speakers allows you to quickly improve your Japanese. In addition to studying, we learn about Japanese culture, visit historical and modern landmarks and festivals, and immerse ourselves in city life. Every day of this internship is a valuable experience and an opportunity for personal and professional development”.
Toyo University is a reliable partner, and the cooperation between our universities goes far beyond academic mobility. It covers a wide range of initiatives, from cultural and educational projects to scientific research, opening up additional opportunities for students and teachers at both higher education institutions.
Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University expresses its sincere gratitude to the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan for its active support and assistance in developing friendly and partnership relations between universities.
Our collaboration with Toyo University creates unique opportunities for deepening knowledge of the Japanese language, broadening students’ cultural and academic horizons, and strengthening the bonds of friendship between Ukraine and Japan.
