On 2 February 2026, a delegation of representatives from the Japanese company “Digital Knowledge” and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) visited Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University.

The guests were welcomed by Nataliia Vinnikova, Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs, Head of the Academic Council of the University; Kang Den Sik, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Languages; Kostiantyn Komisarov, Head of the Department of Japanese Language and Translation and Oksana Buinytska, Head of the Research Laboratory for Digitalisation of Education.

During an introductory tour of the University, the guests visited the Digital Hub of Innovative Solutions, the Japanese Language Study Centre, the University Library and Viktor Ogneviuk Art Gallery. They also paid tribute to the fallen members of the Grinchenko community at the Memorial Wall commemorating those who lost their lives in the Russian-Ukrainian war.

During the meeting, the participants discussed prospects for the University’s digital transformation through innovative solutions provided by “Digital Knowledge”, as well as opportunities for cooperation with Japanese universities.
