The Department of Romance Philology at the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology received new books on Italian language and literature from the Italian Cultural Institute in Kyiv.

Due to a successful application for the purchase and delivery of books and teaching materials by the Associate Professor of the Department of Romance Philology Taras Lazer, guarantor of the educational programme "Language and Literature (Italian)", the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic, the Italian Embassy in Ukraine and the Italian Cultural Institute in Kyiv financed and donated over 80 unique books and textbooks to the University.

A wide range of contemporary methodological and scientific publications covering key aspects of Italian philology have been received: phonetics, grammar, stylistics, critical reading, history and theory of Italian literature, translation studies, intercultural communication and history of language.

Moreover, numerous examples of classical and contemporary Italian literature were donated, which are now available for study by students and lecturers at our University.

Obtaining such a significant number of sources will provide higher education students and teachers with the opportunity not only to deepen their professional knowledge, but also to significantly expand the educational and methodological base for conducting fundamental research based on modern bibliography.

Cooperation with international institutions of this level contributes to improving the quality of training specialists, promoting Italian language and culture in Ukraine, and further developing educational and scientific initiatives of Grinchenko University’s academic community.
