The research findings were presented by the project leader, Olha Mykolaivna Lozova, Professor of the Department of Practical Psychology, Doctor of Science in Psychology, Professor.
The research project was carried out in three stages. During the first stage (theoretical and methodological), the findings of the analysis of approaches to the problem of an individual’s resource potential were synthesized and generalized. During the second stage (empirical), the factors associated with the changing conditions of social life that influence an individual’s resource potential were investigated. During the third stage (summative), the research findings were systematized, and methodological monitoring of the implementation of the research outcomes was conducted.
During the implementation of the research project:
- Theoretical and methodological foundations for the study of personal resource potential were developed, particularly with regard to age-related and professional aspects.
- The concept of a psychological resource was refined and defined as a domain of opportunities, strengths, and individual typological characteristics that determine a person's way of functioning in challenging life circumstances.
- Three models for the development of personal resource potential were designed and substantiated: an integrative model of the development of self-worth in the process of receiving psychological assistance; an integrative model for enhancing the potential of individuals with psychosomatic disorders through art therapy; and a model of coping behavior among the civilian population during wartime.
- The processes and mechanisms underlying the formation of personal resource potential were investigated.
- Indicators of resourcefulness, as well as factors contributing to the depletion and enhancement of personal resource potential, were identified and examined.
- The key factors mediating the interaction between the individual and life situations were determined, including resilience, self-actualization, stress-coping strategies, assertiveness, emotional intelligence, subjectivity-related resources, self-worth, and professional resilience.
- Original psychocorrective and psychotherapeutic programs were developed and pilot-tested.
- Training sessions, webinars, workshops, and master classes were conducted for educators and psychologists in the city of Kyiv.
During the period of the research project implementation, the following scholarly outputs were produced: 85 articles published in peer-reviewed academic journals; 18 articles published in journals indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases; 2 monographs; and 4 teaching and methodological manuals.
