At a meeting of the Academic Council of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University, reports on the development of the computer programs “Experimental System for Automatic Determination of the Accuracy of the Received Satellite Signal (ESP-GPS-Speedometer)” and “Distributed Interference Detection System for Selecting Optimal Frequencies of Wireless Data Transmission Channels Based on the nRF52840 Microcontroller” were approved within the framework of the research project of the Professor Volodymyr Buriachok Department of Information and Cyber Security, Faculty of Information Technology and Mathematics, entitled “Methods and Models for Ensuring the Cybersecurity of Information Processing Systems and the Functional Safety of Software and Hardware Control Complexes for Critical Infrastructure” (Registration No. 0122U200483).
The report was presented by the software developer, Pavlo Mykolaiovych Skladannyi, Head of the Professor Volodymyr Buriachok Department of Information and Cyber Security, Faculty of Information Technology and Mathematics, PhD in Engineering, Associate Professor.
The computer program “Experimental System for Automatic Determination of the Accuracy of the Received Satellite Signal (ESP-GPS-Speedometer)” is designed for real-time processing of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) data. It provides the display of movement speed, local time, satellite signal parameters, battery charge level, and other navigation information on devices based on the ESP32-S3 microcontroller. The software can be applied in transportation systems, Internet of Things (IoT) projects, and geoinformation research.
The computer program “Distributed Interference Detection System for Selecting Optimal Frequencies of Wireless Data Transmission Channels Based on the nRF52840 Microcontroller” provides radio frequency spectrum scanning in the 2.4 GHz band, signal level analysis, and detection of interference sources affecting wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, Thread, and others. The analysis results are visualized in real time, enabling the identification of optimal frequencies for data transmission and improving the efficiency and reliability of wireless network operation.
The results of the computer program development have been integrated into the educational courses of the Educational and Professional Program 1F5.00.01 Information and Communication Systems Security at the first (Bachelor’s) level of higher education and the Educational and Professional Program 2F5.00.02 Information and Communication Systems Security at the second (Master’s) level of higher education.
The obtained results represent a successful example of integrating scientific research, innovative development, and educational activities within the University.
