From March 16 to June 13, 2026, within the framework of realizing the strategic goal of integrating Ukraine into the European Higher Education Area and European Research Area, Tetiana Polishchuk, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Advertising and Public Relations of the Faculty of Journalism at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University, completed an international research internship. The research work was conducted at the Faculty of Communication and Documentation of the University of Granada (Spain) under the Erasmus+ international program (Key Action 171).

The internship program became a milestone in the researcher's professional and personal development. Research work within the international academic environment provided an opportunity to conduct a comprehensive study on the origins and current state of media prosumerism as a technology for information product creation, as well as to perform a comparative analysis of Spanish and Ukrainian experiences to improve original experimental teaching models. A substantial amount of research work was completed during the internship; specifically, academic sources in Spanish and English were analyzed at the University of Granada Library to clarify the genesis of the media prosumerism concept within European scientific discourse, and the concept of "participatory culture" was analyzed in detail based on the works of European scholars. Furthermore, the researcher gathered and systematized statistical data for academic studies on media practices and modern media production processes, and examined Spanish practices in audio, video, and photo content creation, alongside the technological tools utilized by students and faculty at the host University to generate media texts for social networks.

The practical and sociocultural components formed an essential part of the educational and scientific process. Tetiana Polishchuk joined a creative meeting with film director Lucía Selva, author of the film "Quién vio los templos caer", where the key discussion themes focused on "participatory culture" and preserving the authenticity of urban spaces. Additionally, as part of the celebrations marking the Day of the Faculty of Communication and Documentation, the lecturer participated in a professional panel discussion titled "Drawing – the Archive of Redemption", led by the renowned documentary filmmaker and visual communicator Enrique Bonet. Continuing the practical component, a photo exhibition titled "War Objectively: View by Grinchenko University" was presented to third-year students at the University of Granada. This exhibition was a joint project by students, faculty, and alumni of our Faculty of Journalism, demonstrating the critical importance of preserving documentary evidence of war. The meeting took place at the invitation of Professor Lidia Peralta García, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Documentation.

Participation in the program facilitated not only individual growth but also active intercultural and scientific exchange. Tetiana Polishchuk spoke at the III Conference of Ukrainian Language and Culture, held at the Spanish university on the initiative of the Department of Slavic Philology and the Center for Slavic Cultures. The event, opened by Simón Suárez Cuadros, Director for International Mobility, brought together Spanish and Ukrainian experts, offering the academic community and residents of Granada lectures on classical and contemporary Ukrainian literature, translation challenges, and matters of national identity. The next stage included attending the opening of an international exhibition within the framework of the FicTrans research project ("Transmedialization and hybridization of fiction and non-fiction in contemporary media culture"). The event gathered prominent artists and scholars, including film theorist Mieke Bal and digital artist Rui Torres, while Eduardo Peis Redondo, Dean of the Faculty, delivered welcoming remarks, highlighting the importance of such interdisciplinary projects that unite European students and specialists.

An integral part of the mobility was expanding the horizons of partnership and engaging in collaborative scientific and practical activities. The lecturer from our University, alongside her Spanish colleagues and students, took an active part in the III All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation "Trends of Social Communication in Media and Scientific-Educational Discourses". Specifically, Juan Ángel Jódar Marín, Professor at the University of Granada, spoke during the plenary session, and Antonio José Castillo García, a Spanish student, joined the panel sections. Concluding the sociocultural program, Tetiana Polishchuk attended the II Student Documentary Film Showcase, organized by Professor Lidia Peralta García, where students of the "Audiovisual Communication" educational program presented their own directorial works dedicated to social themes, culture, and daily life in the Granada region.

Participation in the Erasmus+ program (KA171) proved to be an invaluable professional and personal experience, opening new perspectives for deepening international scientific dialogue, broadening worldviews, and developing a strategic partnership between Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University and leading higher education institutions in Europe.
