Erasmus+ Academic Mobility at University of Zagreb (Republic of Croatia)

222

Valeriia Veselkova (educational program "International Relations and Diplomacy") and Adeliia Voloshyna (educational program "Public Communications"), Master's students majoring in C3 International Relations at the Faculty of Law, Governance and International Relations at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University, have successfully completed an international academic mobility program under the Erasmus+ framework. The study period lasted from 16 February  to 10 July, 2026, at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Zagreb (Republic of Croatia).

Throughout the semester, the students expanded their knowledge on digital propaganda and disinformation, re-examined the role of public communications in shaping modern urban environments, and studied the transformations of the public sphere, political systems, and information space of Central and Eastern European countries. A key component of the academic program was their participation in the 14th Spring School and Research Conference "Comparative Media Systems", held from 13 April to 17April, 2026, at the Inter-University Centre Dubrovnik (IUC Dubrovnik).

Participation in the academic mobility program enabled the Master's students to integrate into the European educational environment, gain intercultural communication experience, and build strong professional and personal connections with peers from leading European universities. A vital mission of their stay was representing Ukraine's stance and communicating the truth about the Russian-Ukrainian war to European youth. Alongside their academic pursuits, the participants had the opportunity to explore the rich historical and cultural heritage of Croatia and the wider region.

The successful implementation of this mobility initiative reaffirms the high level of academic preparation of Grinchenko University students and furthers the integration of university education into the European Higher Education Area.

We sincerely congratulate Valeriia Veselkova and Adeliia Voloshyna on the successful completion of their academic mobility program and wish them new international projects, professional growth, and successful application of their European experience in their future academic and research endeavors.
