On September 1, 2026, Dmytro Vyshynskyi, Head of the Educational and Methodological Center for Korean Studies at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University, and Marharyta Steliuk, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Eastern Culture and Literature (Faculty of Oriental Languages), held a working meeting with Jung Sung-ae (정성애), the newly appointed Director of the Korean Education Center in Ukraine.
As an official partner of the Korean Education Center in Ukraine, Grinchenko University maintains a strong foundation for systematic collaboration in Korean language instruction, cultural diplomacy, and academic mobility. During the meeting, the participants discussed current priorities in Ukrainian-Korean educational cooperation, prospective joint initiatives, and new academic opportunities for students and faculty. Special attention was given to the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) program – a flagship international initiative provided by the government of the Republic of Korea. Specialists from the Faculty of Oriental Languages actively support candidates applying for the program by providing professional training, academic guidance, and assistance during national selection procedures.
Systemic cooperation with international partners remains a vital component of Grinchenko University's global strategy. This partnership enables students to master the Korean language and culture within their academic curriculum while building personalized international academic path and securing opportunities for study and research in the Republic of Korea. The ongoing collaboration with the Korean Education Center represents another significant step forward in expanding the University’s international educational and research environment.
