The cooperation between Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University and Seton Hall University (New Jersey) was marked by an online conference: “National and Religious Holidays in Ukraine and the USA”, that took plce on April 23, 2013.
Students of the Institute for Society, the Institute of Psychology, Social Pedagogy and University College had a chance to broaden their knowledge about traditions and historical background of national American holidays, as well as merge into the English speaking environment.
The mutual project “Building Understanding Across Time And Borders” has been launched in our University six years ago. The project coordinator from Ukrainian side is the Associate Professor on the History of Ukraine department (Institute for Society), Tarasenko O. O. The project coordinator from American side is Jim Daily. The Science Research Laboratory took active part in the preparations for the event, as well as in the discussion during the online conference.
In their closing speeches Professor Jim Daily and Associate Professor Tarasenko O. O. summed up the results of the third international online conference, thanked all the participants and expressed their desire to continue and broaden the cooperation between students and professors of Ukrainian and American universities
