Guest Lecture of Prof. Pfeiffer

On May 16 as part of the project “Guest Lectures at BGKU” the students of the Institute for Society attended a lecture of the Professor at the University of Oslo (Norway), teacher at the University of Leipzig (Germany) – Wolfram Pfeiffer. Prof. Pfeiffer gave a lecture on “The Peculiarities and Problems of Employment among the Students of Social Sciences: the Experience of Germany”.
Prof. Pfeiffer’s lecture was an interactive one, since the topic is very up-to-date for the students’ audience. The discussion about the possibility of teaching entrepreneurship at universities was of particular interest to the students. The students shared their view on business undertaking as one of the possibilities of employment in the future.
Prof. Pfeiffer express his opinion about ways of developing partnership between Germany and Ukraine and emphasized the need of mastering foreign languages for students of different majors, since it opens opportunities for internship in the countries of Western Europe.
During his stay at our University Prof. Pfeiffer met the Director of the Institute for Society – Lynev K. O. and the staff of the Scientific Research Laboratory for International Projects – Vdovychenko G. V., Lypska O. O. They discussed further collaboration between the University of Leipzig and our University and possibilities of mutual international projects, sponsored by the funds of the Federal Republic of Germany
