On May 15-16, 2013 as a part of the Festival of Science at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University took place an International Scientific Practical Conference “Aims and Results of Education Reforms: Ukrainian-Polish Dialogue”.
The organizers of the conference are: Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Higher Pedagogical School of the Polish Teachers’ Union (Warsaw, Poland), Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University.
The conference was attended by educationists from Ukraine and Poland. During the conference the following points were in focus:

• Civilizational challenges to education at the verge of the 21st century.
• Education reforms as a reflection of social and economic transformations.
• Education reforms and constant social development.
• Value orientations in the modernization of education sphere.
• Education reforms in the context of historical development, traditions and cultural heritage.
• Education reforms and polycultural education.
• Economic mechanisms of implementation of education reforms.
