Cooperation with social organizations and charity funds is one of significant parts of social and humanitarian activities at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University.
Throughout May 2013, encouraged by the International Charity Organization “Civilization”, all Institutes and the University College took part in the charitable action “Prepare a Child for School”. The aim of the action was to help children from dysfunctional families and young patients at the local oncocenter (69 Verhovynna street) get equipped with all the necessary stationery by the time school starts.
Other higher education institutions of Kyiv took part in the charity action: Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, Kyiv National Pedagogical Dragomanov University, National University of Physical Education and Sports.
On May 6, 2013 students of the Institute of Psychology and Social Pedagogy at our University Dariya Sapegina (second year student), Pavlo Ruban (fourth year student) worked as volunteers at the local oncocenter.
All in all, 1000 children were supplied with school stationery. In particular 30 children from dysfunctional families, 56 orphans and 30 children – patients of the local oncocenter
