On September 24, 2013 the open lectures of Dr. Hab., Prof. Artur Patek (Jagellonian University) were held for the students of the Institute of Society.
Kostiantyn Lyniov, the Director of the Institute of Society, addressed the students with a welcoming speech.
Professor Patek has covered two topics: "How many states are there in the modern world?" and "Alija Russit. Immigrants in the former USSR in Israel".
During the first lecture Professor Patek distinguished the nowadays global problem of the countries existence on the political world map as the subjects of the international law.
The second lecture was dedicated to the immigrants from the former USSR, especially to the aspects of their identification as the nationals of a new country, their ethnic, social and political distinguishing.
