Academic staff and students of the Institute of Art of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University had an opportunity to attend lectures of Wojciech Marchwica, Deputy Director of Fryderyk Chopin Institute (Warsaw), Doctor of Philosophy, Jagiellonian University (Krakow).

Dr. Marchwica gave series of lectures about different music styles (acapella, concertato, and vociferous choral style), historical performance of the musical excerpts and methods of their performance in different centuries. Academics and students listened to the artistic heritage of Fryderyk Chopin, Stanislaw Moniuszko, Grzegorz Gerwazy Gorczycki and other polish and world famous composers.

It was not the first visit of Dr. Marchwica to our University, students and academics of our University listened to his lectures with great pleasure and will be waiting for his next arrival to Kyiv with the new series of lectures.
