On October 8-9, 2013 in the framework of the project Program of the Promotion of the External Testing in Ukraine (USETI Alliance) realization USETI Alliance lectures-presentations were held for the University academics and Kyiv school teachers who are taking courses in the In-Service Training Institute of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University.

Yarema Bachynsky, USETI Alliance Project Director and Olena Kotsur, USETI Alliance Coordinator on Testing Development presented to the participants the information about the testing system at the USA schools and the use of independent standardized tests for the admission process to the American universities and colleges. There were active discussions around tests development, their confidence, implementation and promulgation. Kyiv school teachers also raised the questions about the necessity and effectiveness of different types of tests implementation (for example: predictable, final and subject tests) at secondary schools. They were also interested in their influence on the quality of education, in general, and student's attitude to such tests in the USA, in particular.
