On September 25, Viktor Ogneviuk, Rector of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, had a meeting with Christoph Johannsen, Head of the International Association for Waldorf Pedagogy in Middle and Eastern and other Eastern Countries. The topic of the discussion was the implementation of the course on Waldorf Pedagogy into the curriculum of the Master's program in Education.
Rector of the University and the Head of the Association had an opportunity to discuss with the graduators and future students of the course questions about their process of study, as well as expectations for the future. Christoph Johannsen explained about the use of principles of Waldorf pedagogy in teaching. His main idea was that the effective teaching is possible only if understanding between school children and teachers exists. Teachers need to feel happy when they have a problematic child, because in this case the problem is the source o discover something new and interesting.
After the presentation made by Christoph Johannsen the students of our University were awarded certificates for the successful graduation from the two-year international program "The Introduction to Waldorf Pedagogy".
