On November 20, 2013 the methodological workshop "Usage of the International Scientometric Databases in the University Educational and Scientific Fields" was held in our University.

University academics had an opportunity to listen to Oleksiy Vasyliev, Director of the "Informatio-Consortium" Association, Candidate of Technique Sciences. During the workshop the following issues were discussed:
- possibilities of the usr scientometric informational resources in education and scientific activities;
- citation of scientific articles;
- database SCOPUS selection criteria and requirements for scientific journals, Web of Science, EBSCO.

This workshop was the first step towards the solution of the problem of University academics publications in peer reviewed journals and to increase the citation of their scientific articles.
