On May 19-26, 2014 Neliia Lebid, senior researcher of Educational and Research Laboratory of Human Development and Yuliia Breus, junior researcher of Educational and Research Laboratory of Human Development visited Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences (Vilnius, Lithuania) and Rezekne Higher Education Institution (Rezekne, Latvia).

In Vilnius our researchers had meetings with Ona Monkevičienė, Prof. Dr., Dean of Faculty of Education and Lilija Alejsandrovic, Director of the Professional Competence Development Institute. They have discussed the possibilities for further cooperation especially in the field of joint research projects. During their meeting with Sofija Pivoriūnienė, Coordinator of Erasmus+ program at Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences, were distinguished the main areas for future joint projects.

In Rezekne our researchers were the participants of the joint International Conference "Society. Integration. Education". The main issues of the conference were connected with aspects of higher education pedagogy, school pedagogy, preschool pedagogy, special pedagogy, social pedagogy, lifelong learning, health and sports, art and design and IT in education.

During the conference our researchers had meetings with Gilberto Marzano, Dr.Philos., Head of Pedagoģijas Tehnoloģiju Laboratorija; Velta Ļubkina, Dr.paed.,professor, Director of the Personality Socialization Research Institute (PSRI); Inta Rimšāne, PhD., researcher, docent of the International Department.

We hope that this visit was just the beginning of long and strong collaboration between our institutions.
