On October 28, 2014, students of the Institute of Society in the frame of the joint project "Building Understanding across Time and Borders" had a video Conference with the students of Seton Hall University on the issues of the Ukrainian and the USA historiography.

Olga Tarasenko, Candidate of the Historical Sciences of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University and Jim Daily, professor of Seton Hall University, have had long and strong partnership relations for nearly six years.

Ukrainian students devoted this Conference to the life, scientific and public work of the prominent Ukrainian historians (Volodymyr Antonovych and Mykhaylo Hrushevskyi).
American students presented the life, scientific and public work and contribution of the prominent American historians (Joseph Ellis and Howard Zinn).

Students had a lot of questions based on the presentations that they have sent to each other before the Conference.
