The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) opened its office in Kyiv in 1997. Since then, the children's agency has been working to improve the lives of children and families throughout Ukraine. UNICEF's current Country Programme of Cooperation with the Government of Ukraine runs from 2012 to 2015 and consists of four programmes:
Advocacy, Information and Social Policy Programme
HIV/AIDS, Children and Youth Programme
Child Protection Programme
Child Health and Development Programme
Yulia Yurova, Partnership Officer, UNICEF Ukraine, had a meeting with our students in a very special day – UNICEF birthday. Celebrating its birthday today all over the world, UNICEF invited everybody to join the global campaign "Imagine", sing John Lennon legendary song and imagine a better world for children. Our students took part in this campaign and made a record of his famous song.
Anybody could join the campaign and record their version of John Lennon song "Imagine" through the mobile application TouchCast. Those individual recordings, and those of UNICEF's Ambassadors and other artists, were made into a multi-lingual 'world' version of Imagine, produced by David Guetta.
Our University started this campaign and was the first higher educational institution in Ukraine that took part in this flesh mob.
