International Conference
International conference “Effective Schools: Success Factors” was held at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University on June 4th, 2011 within the Year of Education and Informational Society in Ukraine.
The Conference’s mission was: professional dialogue on perspectives for development of modern school, defining and grounding key factors for effective functioning of modern schools, their progress movement and innovative development. The main substantive topics of the conference were: legislation and policy for school development, school progress and secondary education quality, public space and professional development of educators.
Participants of the conference included academics and practicing teacher from Ukraine, Belgium, Great Britain, Denmark, Moldova, Netherlands, Portugal, Russian Federation, USA and Sweden.
The participants were welcomed by First Deputy of the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports of Ukraine Yegven Sulima and Deputy head of Kyiv City State Administration Leonid Novokhatko.
