On April 30, 2015 was held an extended meeting of the Chair of Computer Sciences and was made a report on training teachers in the Ilmenau University of Technology. Academics have analyzed the disciplines and introduced the embedded systems in the educational process of the University.
Natalia Morze Vice-Rector on Informational Technologies, Project Coordinator from BGKU and Deputy Director of Scientific-Methodological and Training Work, academics and University students were involved into the work of this meeting.
Academics and students were proposed to listen to the information about the project itself, its goals and objectives, and expected results; exploring new approaches to learning, practice-based learning embedded systems. Familiarity with hybrid online laboratories and ways to use them; possibilities of electronic CAD tools using software PTC Creo, which allows drawing, model verification, visualization and creation of elements.
The meeting considered the following issues:
- analysis of existing curricula and training courses in embedded systems;
- analysis of competencies of graduates in embedded systems required by the labor market ;
- development methodology of formation training programs for embedded systems;
- modification and development of modules and courses in: • hardware and software of embedded systems, CAD for developing embedded systems • new approaches in learning;
- development of educational materials, incl. virtual, remote and practical laboratories of embedded systems;
- training of «new approaches in training engineers», «Remote laboratories for embedded systems», «Designing Embedded Systems» ;
- Trainings:
• Teachers, researchers and school teachers
• pilot group of students;
- workshops on the use of remote laboratories and laboratories of embedded systems
- workshops for employees of companies in the region, monitoring and evaluation processes and products on a regional and national level.
