On April 25, 2015 Natalia Morze, Vice-Rector on Informational Technologies and Olha Veselovska, Head of the International Department returned from their working visit to the University of Twente. The visit was held in the frame of the international project IRNet under the patronage of the European Commission.
The University of Twente was founded in 1961.Nowadays it has five faculties and research centers. More than 9000 students and 3000 scientific staff are enrolled into the educational process of the University. The University works with the technologies of the future such as informational technologies, biotechnologies and nanotechnologies. It is oriented on the use of Smart Technology and Human Touch, because these technologies meet the needs of society in everyday life.
Our academics have examined the information educational environment of the University, including teachers' electronic portfolios. Using an access to the classified internal system «Blackboard» they have studied and analyzed the content and structure of the e-learning courses. The University has an innovative educational model TEM (Twente Educational Model TOM), based on the principles of project-based learning.
According to the results of the working visit and in the framework of the package №3 project members plan to have joint writing articles for placement in the indexed databases. The articles are going to be dedicated to the use of information technology in education and professional life, and also the problems of an intercultural awareness.
