On the 9th of March, 2016 the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University`s students celebrated the 202nd anniversary of Taras Shevchenko officially, by laying flowers together with university administration and lectures to the monument of the great Kobzar and by performing the French-quest in the Shevchenko Park.

The first-year students of the International Information Course created the quest in the French language; to do so the practical classes in the French language were held in the Shevchenko Park.

The quest consisted both of questions covering current study topics and questions devoted to the works of Taras Shevchenko, including declaiming the great poet’s poems in the French language by the students, and honouring his memory and laying flowers to the monument pedestal after the quest was over.

Chair of Romance philology and
comparative linguistics is continuously developing and implementing learning foreign languages with assistance of the widest range of productive practices of learning languages, also conducting field classes.

Thus, in November, due to Senior lecturer Y.A.Shtaltovna`s initiative, the excursion in the French language was held at the Mysteskyi Arsenal, at the exhibition of world masterpieces of plastic arts, and also the introductory excursion in the French language at the French Institute in Kyiv.
