Rector of Grinchenko University had a meeting with experts on the prevention of corruption in education of Council of Europe

With the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine was held an official meeting of Viktor Ogneviuk, Rector of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, with experts from the Council of Europe. The meeting was attended by:

  • Ian Smith, an expert of the Council of Europe on the prevention of corruption;
  • Tom Hamilton, Council of Europe expert on the prevention of corruption;
  • Olha Buriachenko, Chief specialist of international educational projects of International Cooperation and European Integration of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine;
  • Natalia Vinnikova, Vice-rector on Science the University of Grinchenko;
  • Julia Datsenko, Rector’s advisor on legal and personnel issues of Grinchenko University, Commissioner for the prevention and detection of corruption;
  • Olha Vyhovska, head of the laboratory of internationalization of higher education of Grinchenko University.

The meeting was devoted to the actual today problems - the prevention of corruption in education. Experts are currently working on a report on higher education in Ukraine and creation recommendations for the prevention of corruption in education, analyzing the experience of Ukrainian higher educational institutions in the fight against corruption.

Viktor Ogneviuk detail told the guests about the corporate culture of Grinchenko University, which is based on the principle of servant leadership that focuses on personal growth and well-being of people and communities and adhering to the principles of academic honesty and openness.

We thank our guests and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for holding interesting meetings and work on overcoming corruption in Ukrainian educational institutions.
