The delegation of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University visited China from October 19 to 28, 2017 at the initiative of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ukraine.

The delegation consisted of Ivan Semenist, PhD, the Head of the Chair of Oriental Languages and the translation of Philology Institute, and Volodymyr Rezanenko, DSc, Professor of the Department of Oriental Languages and Translation. During the trip BGKU delegates visited universities and research institutions of Beijing, the provinces of Hansu (Lanzhou city) and the Qinhai Province (Sinin City).
Ivan Semenist and Volodymyr Rezanenko delivered a series of open lectures for students and professors of the University of Lanzhou and the Tinhai Academy of Social Sciences. The staff of the Grinchenko University managed to explore the Higher Education environment in the People's Republic of China, to consider the training courses with the educational institutions of the People's Republic of China, to study the approaches to assessing the quality of education, to visit the libraries of the universities of the province of Hans and Tinghai.
Numerous working meetings were held during the visit:

● with Professor Jan Yi, Director of National Development of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences;
● with Professor Chen Guandzin, Director of the Institute of Sociology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences;
● with Professor Ban Baotian, Vice-rector of International Relations at the University of Lanzhou;
● with Professor Wang Cihua, Director of the International Department of the University of Lanzhou;
● Mr. Chi Gang, Deputy Director of the International Department;
● Professor Zhang Sinpin, Director of the Institute of Politics;
● Professor Li Fayun, Director of the Institute of Foreign Languages at the University of Lanzhou;
● Professor Dein Shucin, Head of the Center for Research in Eastern Europe and others.
The cooperation in the field of academic exchanges, the launch of joint research, the possibility of joint international projects were discussed during the meetings.
