Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University
On 12-13 April 2018, Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University held the IV International scientific-practical conference "Professional Art Education and Culture: Challenges of the XXI century".
On April 12th, the plenary session of the conference "Art Education and Ukrainian Culture integrating into the European educational space" began with the opening words by Natalia Vinnikova, the vice-rector for scientific work of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, and by Konstantyn Batsak, the director of the Institute of Arts at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University.
During the plenary session, reports were made by:
• Jonas Kevishas, Doctor of University of Educational Sciences (Lithuania)
• Alexandra Zeman, Professor of the Faculty of Arts of University of Silesia in Katowice (Poland).
• Małgorzata Kaniowska (University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland)
• Tetyana Komendant, Vice-Rector of the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts (Republic of Moldova)
• Andrey Druce, a PhD student of Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts (Republic of Moldova)
• Oksana Komarovska, Head of the Laboratory for Aesthetic Education and Artistic Education at the Institute for Education Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine
• Alla Rastrigina, Head of the Department at the Art Faculty of the Central Ukrainian State Pedagogical University named after Volodymyr Vynnychenko, Ukraine
Following the plenary session, the discussion platform "The Interdisciplinary Scientific Space: Realization of the Innovative Concept of Artistic Education" started with reports delivered by:
• Ganna Karas, Professor at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Ukraine
• Olga Shkolna, head of the Art Institute at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, Ukraine
• Viktoriya Tusheva, Associate Professor at Kharkiv National Pedagogical University named after Grygory Skovoroda, Ukraine
• Galina Lokaryeva, Professor of Zaporizhzhya National University, Ukraine
• Nadiya Stadnichenko, Zaporizhzhya National University, Honored Artist of Ukraine
On April 13, the conference continued in sections at the Institute of the Arts of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University:
• "Philosophical foundations and historical experience of professional artistic education and artistic culture",
• "Post-classical artistic pedagogy in the context of paradigmatic changes",
• "Modern art studies in the system of artistic culture",
• "Innovative technologies in the system of continuous professional artistic education ".
The faculty of the Institute of Arts presented its scientific and educational publication - a collective monograph "Professional Artistic Education and Culture in Modern Global Transformations", published by Cambridge Scholars, the international publishing house. The monograph presents the materials of the 2nd International Scientific and Practical Conference "Professional Artistic Education and Culture: Challenges of the 21st Century"
The IV International scientific conference "Professional Art Education and Culture: Challenges of the XXI century" culminated with the concert "Art unites the world", by the teachers of the Art Institute at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University.
