On May 15, 2018, being invited by the Department of History of Ukraine, Dr. Marek Příhoda (Institute of Eastern European Studies, Faculty of Philosophy, Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic) visited the Faculty of History and Philosophy of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University.
Dr. Marek Příhoda lectured for students, masters and post-graduate students of the Faculty of History and Philosophy and the Faculty of Law and International Relations on the topic "The Ukrainian Issue and the Czech Society of the 19th Century." During the lecture he presented the review of the Czech Society of the 19th Century, socio-political thought about the Ukrainian issue, its evolution and changes in the minds of famous Czech figures. The lecture led to an interesting discussion and questions from students and teachers.
Following that, at the Department of History of Ukraine, Dr. Marek Příhoda had a meeting with the lecturers and representatives of the Student Scientific Society, postgraduates, doctoral students and young scientists of the Faculty of History and Philosophy, where the prospective directions of possible cooperation between the Institute of East European Studies of the Philosophy Faculty of Charles University and Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University were discussed.
