On October 18, 2018, the First All-Ukrainian Scientific and Methodological Seminar for Chinese Language Teachers was held at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University. The event organizers are the Department of Education and Culture of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ukraine, Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, Confucius Institute at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
The seminar was attended by leading Chinese language teachers from the institutions of higher and secondary education of Ukraine and the People's Republic of China, as well as representatives of Confucius Institutes.
Welcoming greetings were made by Viktor Ogneviuk, Rector of Grinchenko University, Mr. Du Wei, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine.

Oksana Proskura, Director of Kyiv Gymnasium of Oriental Languages № 1, a top-rank teacher, an honored educator of Ukraine (Ukraine)
Shi Yajun, Director of Confucius Institute at Kyiv National Linguistic University (from the Chinese side), Doctor in Political Science, Associate Professor, Tianjin Foreign Studies University (Ukraine)
Natalia Ruda, Head of the Department of Oriental Languages, Faculty of Foreign Philology, H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University, Ph.D. in Philology, Associate Professor (Ukraine)

During the seminar, there were depicted the topical issues of Chinese language teaching in higher education institutions and educational institutions of Ukraine as well as the achievements and prospects of the development of Ukrainian Chinese Studies.
